It's raining out there as if you didn't notice and that makes it hard on me as well as anyone who hates the scratches and small fields with one MTO horse after another breaking my back. Oh well when in Rome, you know...shift to the impulse and if it seems weak then settle for a smaller pay day and move on, the weather has to improve and we can win it out. I am not happy about the shift from Breeders "win and you in " from my beloved Saratoga but the loss is for the TV public for I will be there and the quality will be there and the lucky picks from The Track Maitre D will certainly be there. Oh about the weather two things, rain rain go away for August and until then take yesterdays Selections two scratches, two winners, five places and seven show tickets, yes Little D is right and cash those seven babies she did, not the only one who plays them all am I.

June and things are happening.........we continue to see success at the right percentage with the Top Ten Selections, yes the scratches are high but the weather is bad and good horses like good handicappers step back to go another day. Still the winners come in every day and we are on the board more than our fair share. BUT the big news this week is our link to betting in the UK and in fact around the world is on our home page. Yes the link exchange between The Track Maitre D and betters across the pond is live and not only can you grab onto what is offered over there we now have a toll free line in the UK for handicappers in the UNITED KINGDOM to get on board with what The Track Maitre D is offering state side. You knew when TVG made the move that international interest would rise on a constant basis and the Track Maitre D is riding with the flow. So keep calling for play by the day Wednesday through Sunday or on line for 12 months continuous service, be you from Louisville or London, ALL YEAR LONG.

Well it's back to what I do best and the Top Ten Selections rule! We found the top three in each race at one track was redundant to the player since this feature has been a fixture in the DRF for as long as ever and I needed to present a clearer picture of what I do and this way the percentages are yours to judge. Yesterday back to those basics grabbed three winners, $8.60, $9.80 and $4.20 plus three others on the board showing a nice return on the Top Ten.
Some big news to come out with next months newsletter, hope you getting it, most find it a in your face update of some thoughts on handicapping with a sense of direction where The Track Maitre D is headed in this industry and why you should be on board be it on line for the 12 months offer or playing by the day. No pie in the sky as we stated before just basic winning selections more often than anyone and ALL YEAR LONG.

Where does the time go, can't believe the Preakness is gone, yes had the winner and the exacta but still hovering lower than normal on stats, more in the 40% range but still cashing tickets and making money. Thanks for the input about the full card we are agreeing with the responders and returning to the Top Ten format North to South and Coast to Coast at the end of this month. You will still see many selections from the New York tracks but not the top three in each race. I ran with some exactas and got good coverage with the card but prefer to crack the top ten for real results. Interestingly enough one of yesterdays picks was nosed out for a $20 winner that was my second choice. Just last week the Sunday phone gang also hit a large one that seemed to make the day by what you emailed me. Stay with it, the excitement builds and this sport is alive and growing look at the TV audience on Sat or the excitement about the return of Hialeah we need say no more. With The Track Maitre D your always at the post for winners week after week all year long!

Well they say do what you do well and the rest is history. Pushed to spend more time on reporting stats than I wanted to has indeed produced an interesting scenario as follows.......When you look at the Top Ten Selections vs the full card the numbers knock you over. Yes my numbers rival others for the top three in each race at any track but that's not what got me going down this road and hoping for some feedback and if received I may go back to day one and offer only my Top Ten Selections. Those stats for last week had me in at over 30% winners and over 60% hitting the board, I made money your had too! Wed I was in with 6 winners and 3 other on the board out of 10 picks, and looks like the trend continues as yesterday I again had 6 winners and 3 others on the board out of 9..........stay tuned.

No sooner do I pick Eddie and the rest is history, leaving the Doctors office today, sick by the pull out of my choice but really visiting Dr M to get this cold on track and off my back. No surprise to those who call in as I sounded like a cheap hood yesterday reading off my picks. Anyway , as I was leaving the receptionist put me on the dime noticing my New York OTB shirt and said " give me a winner for Saturday, we going to a Derby party. Now if you have ever been to the Derby you know no one can host a party to compare to the real thing but these millions of groups all over the world are what will keep horse racing alive so of course I oblige two fold. For the Oaks I give her, Justwhistledixie and encourage her on with a lean towards Pioneerof the Nile, because everyone knows to paraphrase Mr Baffert RIDE A HORSE NOT A COWBOY.

What a day, we move foreword to the "Big Tree" at Belmont and of course what are we hitting. Soft at times but still 127-29-71 and 43-19-28 keep paying for parking but not going to cover the bar tab this year at Siros yet the rolling bets keep the payoffs good enough to play another day. I like my old system and think that this months newsletter will spend a little time on it so you can perhaps try to push the chalk and get some cash for the ride home.
Many of my sunshine buddies are headed back north and should be in line at the simulcst for the Derby but there will be several hundred crammed in with me for what should be an interesting race. To take a shot here would be rash with some things that still need to play out but I can't get past Square Eddie and like the name of two of my followers he should be the contender. Love the jock and remember back in 2004 when he took Birdstone out our the darkness at Saratoga to the wire I believe the combination is a sure winner. Well there you have it one free pick that will be on the line and email Friday night as the day opens at Churchill Downs for the run for the roses.
